The Tamatumani program makes it possible to hire and train many Inuit. The number of Inuit employees increased from 55 in 1998 to 178 in 2016, representing an increase of more than 224%. Today, about 20% of our workforce working on a rotation schedule at the mine site is Inuit. Positions held by Inuit employees include miners, welders, junior geologists, heavy equipment operators, nurses, etc.

The skills developed and the knowledge acquired at Raglan Mine make it possible to build the capacity of the local labour force. All Inuit workers have received training that make it possible for them to develop certain skills and abilities. These abilities will benefit them in other jobs and in their community.
