As part of the fourth edition of the Raglan Mine Scholarship Program for children of our permanent employees, the Program Selection Committee reviewed fourteen applications. In the end, the following three children were awarded a student scholarship :

 

Vanessa Bisson-Gervais,

Patrick Gervais’ daughter, received a $2,000 scholarship

Vanessa is studying natural sciences at Cégep Lionel-Groulx.

 

Édouard Hamel,

Denise Ouellet’s son, received a $3,000 scholarship.

Édouard is a student at Université de Sherbrooke pursuing a bachelor’s degree in biotechnology engineering.

 

Alexandre Mongrain,

Rock Mongrain’s son, was awarded a $3,000 scholarship.

Alexandre is completing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS).

 

The Program objective is to support Raglan Mine employees, encourage the new generation to get involved in their community, and excel in their studies.

Also in 2017, 65 scholarships were awarded to students of Nunavik who are pursuing postsecondary studies via the Raglan Education Fund. We thank all those who applied for a scholarship and we congratulate the 2017 recipients!
