In front of a packed house of more than 1,100 people, Tamatumani was crowned winner in the Training and Workforce Development category at the 38th Mercuriades Gala last night!
It is with great pride that we receive this award from Quebec's most prestigious business competition. Such recognition of our Inuit workforce development practices is a reminder of how far we have come as the program celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. Raglan Mine was a finalist alongside Bridgestone Canada (Joliette plant) and the Goldcorp - Eleonore mine, who we also congratulate.
All the members of the management team join voices to thank everyone involved in bringing Tamatumani to life. We are thinking firstly of our Inuit employees, but also each of our managers, supervisors and trainers, who work on a daily basis to recognize the exceptional contribution of Inuit workers to Raglan Mine. From near or far, this award is yours.
Tamatumani was developed in collaboration with Nunavik organizations, including the regional government and the school board, which represent key partners in Nunavik's skills development. This program is a concrete example of the great achievements that we can accomplish when we all work together towards the same goal.
